I probably hadn’t seen Darcy for about a year and a half up until this, my memories of Darcy are this bright bubbly girl who had a big smile and one very shiny pair of parade shoes, it aches knowing that a star who shone so bright is lost to us, I am grateful that I will only remember her big smile and her fun loving nature. I did my DofE with Darcy, I went on cadet camps with her, and I have great memories dancing at dining in nights and Christmas parties and going caving or kayaking or what not with her and I saw her every Thursday night, so many of my best memories growing up are with her in them in some way. Cadets was like a family to me back then and she was a part of that family and her spirit will never be forgotten. I still don’t quite believe that she’s gone, but I hope she’s happy wherever she has gone 💕
